Ex- footballer turned pundit Michael Owen has always been known for his love of horse racing. In 2017 Michael decided to take on the challenge of becoming a jockey himself and running out at Ascot for the Princes Countryside Fund. With no real horse riding experience this became the biggest challenge of Michael’s life and he found out that it would be no easy feat.

With only a few months until the race, Michael had to learn fast and with race horses being able to run at 40mph he quickly realised the dangers involved.
